Day 50: August 1, 2012- Jesus Prepares our Fields, Do We?

The Readings:

Leviticus 7:28-9:6, Mark 3:31-4:25, Psalm 37:12-29, Proverbs 10:5

Old Testament.
The priests are purified. The priests are ordained. Then God appears. Isn't this exciting?

New Testament.
God's Word is being sown everywhere. My heart goes out to the people of the different examples of seed. Each has a different duration. Some are snatched up instantly. Others don't grow roots. Still others grow roots and prepare for harvest, but are overshadowed by weeds that kill them before they can produce grain. And finally, others produce rich harvests.

May God bless those who aren't finishing the race with the vigor they had when they began. May he turn their hearts back to the course and their eyes back to the road.

Psalms.
The fight the wicked put up doesn't really impress God. Don't let it scare you when it encroaches on your life. He knows their time is short.

Proverbs.
Prepare the fields now while a harvest may be sown! There will come a time when there is only reaping of what has already been done.
